Veteran Cedar Rapids sportscaster Bob Brooks is recuperating at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics after becoming ill Tuesday following the Iowa-Dayton NIT basketball game at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Brooks was taken to the hospital via ambulance from the postgame press conference.
Steve Roe, Iowa’s Director of Athletic Communications, visited Brooks today. Brooks told Roe to tell people that he was “resting, doing well and will be (hospitalized) for a couple of days.”
The family declined to release any other information.
