Devyn Marble, Iowa's leading scorer, made the trip with his teammates to Evanston, Ill., today.
Iowa spokesman Matt Weitzel said Saturday afternoon that nothing has changed from Thursday, when Iowa coach Fran McCaffery called Marble “iffy” for the Wildcats following Iowa's 62-59 loss to Michigan State.
Marble, a junior who averages 15.5 points a game, was injured in practice Monday. The game with the Spartans was the first one Marble has missed at Iowa.
Eric May started in place of Marble in a loss that dropped the Hawkeyes to 0-3 in the Big Ten and 11-5 overall. Northwestern, coming off a 70-54 victory at Penn State Thursday, is 1-2 in the Big Ten and 10-6 overall.
The Wildcats lost their second-leading scorer, Drew Crawford, to a season-ending shoulder injury six games ago. Crawford was averaging 13.5 points.
