A Friday morning report said that the Hawkeyes had concluded their search for a new baseball coach.
The search, though, appears to continue on.
Two different officials refuted a report that Saint Louis baseball coach Darin Hendrickson has been tabbed as the new coach of the Hawkeyes.
“The reports aren’t true,” Saint Louis spokesperson Brian Kunderman said.
The report, from College Baseball Daily, cited unnamed sources and was later taken down.
James Allen, Iowa assistant director of athletic communications, also denied the report and said that the school had no plans, yet, for an announcement, next week.
“We are still in the process of interviews,” Allen said.
Iowa director of athletics Gary Barta announced in May that Jack Dahm’s contract as the baseball coach would not be renewed after he completed his 10th season with the Hawkeyes.
