The Iowa basketball team has a lot of experienced players returning this winter.
It may add one more.
Jordan Baker, who was given his release from Pepperdine in June, visited Iowa this past week.
The 6-foot-4 guard averaged 11.4 points as a sophomore for the Waves. He was an honorable mention All-West Coast Conference pick. He also averaged 4.2 rebounds, a team-high 3.1 assists and 0.9 steals per game.
“The visit went well. I’m looking to schedule a few more visits and hoping to make my decision by hopefully late July early August,” Baker said through an email.
Attempts to talk to Baker were unsuccessful.
Baker is one of four Pepperdine players leaving the program. The Waves finished 12-18 last season under second-year coach Marty Wilson.
Baker, an Arizona native, was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor DUI back in March.
