Former Iowa tight end Tony Moeaki has reached an injury settlement with the Kansas City Chiefs and he will be waived from injured reserve.
Moeaki, 26, sustained a fractured scapula during the preseason but is expected to ready for action by the 11th week of the regular season. He also suffered knee and head injuries in the past.
He was a third-round pick and played for the Chiefs from 2010-2012 but missed the 2011 season. He totaled 80 receptions for 1,009 yards.
Well chiefs kingdom, it's been a pleasure. Best fans. Was starting to feel back to form. Bad timing for an inj. However...Challenge accepted— Tony Moeaki (@TonyMoeaki81) August 31, 2013
