Iowa State and Iowa fans have just a few days remaining to vote for their men’s basketball coaches in the Infiniti Coaches’ Charity Challenge.
For 10 weeks, the nation’s top coaches are counting on fans to vote for their favorite charity. The coaches receiving the most votes gain a spot in the finals, with the winning coach receiving $100,000 toward his charity.
Voting to determine which coaches will compete in the challenge’s final four ends at 10:59 p.m. Central time on Sunday, March 2.
Iowa coach Fran McCaffery is tied for last place among 16 coaches with Connecticut’s Kevin Ollie. They each have 1 percent of the vote.
Iowa State coach Fred Hoiberg starts today tied for fifth with 4 percent of the vote. Hoiberg is tied with Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim and West Virginia coach Bob Huggins.
Ohio State’s Thad Matta leads the voting, followed by Purdue’s Matt Painter, Wichita State’s Gregg Marshall and Arizona’s Sean Miller.
