Former Iowa linebacker Chad Greenway is already widely known as an NFL defensive stud.
Turns out he’s flexing his heroic muscles this offseason, too.
According to a Minneapolis television station report, Greenway helped rescue two people adrift on Lake Minnetonka on Monday.
The two passengers were stuck on the lake after they were unable to steer the vessel. The boat, containing couple Crystal and Edward Alexis, then started drifting toward a dam, which is when Greenway came to the rescue.
Greenway guided boat into an inlet and waited with the couple until water patrol arrived. According to the report, Greenway helped get the craft tied up and ready to be towed.
“The waves are so big and the wind is so strong today that it pushed him right into the rocks, so we had to get him off the rocks, his prop cleared out of the rope, and get him turned in the right direction,” Greenway told KARE-TV.
Below, take a look at what the two-time Pro Bowler was up against.
