One Goldwire was not enough for the Hawkeyes. Now two of them will be sharing seats on the Iowa bench.
Tiffany Goldwire has been hired as an Iowa women’s basketball assistant coach. She’ll join her sister, Lacey, who is currently an assistant.
The sisters are from Oklahoma City, Okla. Tiffany played at Oklahoma City University, winning an NAIA national title in 2012. She recently served as a graduate assistant at Missouri Western. Lacey, who played at Oklahoma State, is entering her second season as an assistant for the Hawkeyes, who went 27-9.
“Tiffany is a welcome addition to our staff,” Iowa coach Lisa Bluder said in a press release. “She will be helping us with recruiting organization. Tiffany has had great experience as a graduate assistant at Missouri Western, and we look forward to having her as a member of our Hawkeye family.”
And a family it is. The sisters both attended Del City, Okla.
“I am excited to be able to work with my sister as well as learn and grow with the help of all these extremely intelligent women,” Tiffany Goldwire said in a press release.
Goldwire received her bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma City University in 2012. She earned her master’s degree in sports and fitness management from Missouri Western in May.
