VIDEO: Brandon Scherff hang cleans 443 pounds

Wanna know why Brandon Scherff is getting mega NFL Draft buzz?

Yeah, there’s all that on-the-field greatness going on. And the whole top-notch “freakiest athlete” in college football designation.

But this 30-second video says a lot, too.

Somewhere among “strong,” “Iowa strong” and “Army strong,” we might just have to make room for “Scherff strong.”

Iowa football strength and conditioning coach Chris Doyle tweeted the following video on Wednesday morning — it’s the Hawkeyes offensive tackle hang cleaning 443 pounds three times.

Even if you don’t know that much about weightlifting, all you need to observe is the rest of the room stopping, watching, gawking and hollering.

It’s another sign that it’s shaping up to be a fall full of possibilities for Scherff.

And it’s another way for the rest of us to feel like we’re strength-slackers. Holy mackerel.
