Peter Jok will be rejoining the Iowa men’s basketball team Tuesday, coach Fran McCaffery has confirmed.
Jok, a sophomore guard and former West Des Moines Valley all-stater, was suspended from all basketball-related activities by McCaffery on July 15, a day after he was charged with driving his moped while his license was revoked. Jok was also charged with improper lights and failure to have a safety flag.
That came in the wake of his April 26 arrest for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Jok was riding his moped at the time. He pleaded guilty to that charge May 2 in Johnson County Court.
After being suspended from the team, Jok attended summer-school classes and participated in community service projects. McCaffery said Monday that he is not sure if Jok will be suspended from any games this season.
